The creative life

I have always valued creativity, in myself and in others. When I am not composing or writing songs, I seek out collaboration with other artists. And some of my greatest satisfaction comes from helping others to shape their own creative impulses. This is true whether I am working with seasoned musicians, with groups of young students, or with inmates in a prison. Music invites us to bring into being something that did not exist before we engaged our imagination and craft. It is important to pursue these opportunities whenever we can.
